Elk Creek Advisory Committee

The Elk Creek Advisory Committee generally meets the second Monday of each month from 4:30-5:30 p.m.  Advisory committee members attend every month, and any parent or guardian is welcome to come to meetings.

The Elk Creek Advisory Committee fulfills the requirements as outlined by CRS 22-11-402 including:

  • Making recommendations to the school principal regarding "school priorities for spending school moneys"Parent Engagement

  • Advising the principal "concerning the preparation of a school performance or school improvement plan"

  • Meeting at least quarterly "to discuss whether school leadership, personnel, and infrastructure are advancing or impeding implementation of the public school's performance, improvement, priority improvement, or turnaround plan, whichever is applicable"

  • Providing input to the district accountability committee or district administration concerning principal development plans and principal evaluation

  • Increasing parent engagement

The Elk Creek Advisory Committee revised its Bylaws in  the spring of 2020 to reflect more inclusive practices that are now in place.
